My intention with this section of the guide is to update it as people provide more information. There are lots of people who say they didn’t get the achievement despite following the requirements, and even some people who did get the achievement even though they shouldn’t have. There is an existing guide by ExplodeySquirrel that you should check out here.īut I’ve seen all kinds of disagreement on various sites about what exactly the requirements are. The requirements are to “Finish the New Home scenario without passing severe laws and using harsh abilities.” I’m giving this achievement its own section because it’s quite infamous. This guide doesn’t include the Last Autumn, but that might be in the works at some point. If anything you find conflicts with the information in this guide, please leave a comment to let everyone know.Ħ. The Golden Path achievement is most infamous for this. Some achievements are notoriously vague, and possibly bugged. Of course, your mileage will vary, so go with whichever scenario you prefer.ĥ. Also, note that the game will shower you with steam cores, but for some reason you need to run out first or it won’t provide you with the scouting locations you need.

Otherwise the scenario automatically ends when you complete all of the objectives, even if you have more time left. This will allow you to play through to the end of the scenario. Make sure to discover New Manchester and accept the quest to rescue its people, but never actually complete it. For the achievements that require you to play an actual scenario, I highly recommend the Arks scenario for most of them because I find it to be the easiest and shortest. Before doing this, you need to research Engineer Automatons, which allow them to be used in Workshops and Factories. Using an Automaton on the Workshop will mean it can run 24 Hours, so that you are constantly researching. However you can bring these numbers down by researching Streamlined Automatons. You can craft one automaton for 100 Wood, 100 Steel, 50 Coal and 1 Steam Core. The final and most efficient way to research faster would be to use Automatons.

Extended Shifts in the Book of Laws Using Automatons To start an extended shift, find the building you want to apply it too and use the toggle in the top left corner of the interface. I highly recommend you use this on workshop, and other important buildings (if needed). This is a permanent change, compared to the Emergency Shift and won’t take too much of a difference to discontent or hope. Extended shifts will allow you to increase the workday to 14 hours.
